PSA Airlines Leaders Share Their Professional Experiences for Local Career Day

Helke Visit

Four PSA Airlines team members had the opportunity to visit with third-grade students from Helke Elementary School in Vandalia, Ohio for Career Day. PSA had a diverse group of leaders present to the students including:

  • Customer Experience Program Manager – Chad Eshelman,
  • Inflight Training Specialist and Flight Attendant – Darcy Drago
  • Mechanic – Jordan Letner
  • Captain – Scott Spires

“Dayton is the birthplace of aviation and presenting to local students about the history of their community and how they can carry on the tradition if they have a passion for aviation is a special thing for PSA,” said Jean Holloway, Director – Communications and Development. “We hope to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals and look forward to continuing to find opportunities give back to the community that plays an important role in our industry.”

Throughout the presentation, team members took turns explaining their jobs and fielded questions from students. Each student was gifted with PSA wings and one lucky participant won a raffle for a CRJ jet model.

The experience provided the students, most of whom had never flown on an airplane before, a better understanding of how the plane flying overhead might be a PSA aircraft and it just might be Scott piloting it.
