As a PSA pilot, you’ll be part of a growing, close-knit, passionate team flying exclusively for American Airlines. You’ll receive up to $23,000 to help with your transition, unparalleled advancement opportunities and benefits few other regionals can match.

The Interview and Hiring Process

You’ll be on a direct career path from PSA to American Airlines starting your first day. Our innovative program is both flexible and affordable.

1. Submit your application and interview

We’ll review and contact you with a specific training plan and the cost associated through our partner school, SkyWarrior.

2. Get paid

We’ll provide up to $23,000 toward your transition training and help you apply your VA benefit.

3. Complete your hours

After you complete your flight hours and receive your Multi Engine Rating, we’ll fly you to our company headquarters in Dayton, OH to complete our ATP-CTP. Lodging included.

4. Become a first officer

After your ATP-CTP course, you can now start 13 weeks of ground school.

Military Rotor Pilots - Check Out The Qualifications Below:

  • I have been honorably discharged or currently serving in a reserve or guard unit in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • I have been honorably discharged or currently serving in a reserve or guard unit in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • I have a valid passport.
  • I have a FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • I will be able to complete the necessary hours and qualifications under the military restricted ATP requirements within 3 months of my start date.
  • I graduated from a U.S. military undergraduate pilot training school and received a rating qualification as a military pilot.
  • I have a current FAA first class medical.
  • I have a current FAA first class medical.
  • I will be able to request a VA Certificate of Eligibility via Vets.gov if I plan on accessing my GI bill.
  • I have the minimum 1,000 total flight hours to apply.

Civilian Rotor Pilots - Check Out The Qualifications Below:

  • I have a valid passport.
  • I have a FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • I am IFR Compliant.
  • I have a current FAA first class medical.
  • I will be able to complete the necessary hours and qualifications under the civilian ATP requirements within 3 months of my start date.
  • I have 1200 total time.
