​PSA Airlines Now Offering Industry Leading First Year Pay for Qualified Mechanics

DAYTON, Ohio – PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is enhancing its compensation package for Airframe/Powerplant (A&P) mechanics, topping the industry with first-year pay up to $52,000. This top-tier compensation provides A&P mechanics with unparalleled benefits and supports PSA’s growth mission by remaining competitive in the regional industry to retain and attract the best mechanics.

With these new changes, prospective A&P mechanics can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Industry-leading first-year pay up to $52,000
    • Base pay includes $16.42 per hour
    • License and third-shift premiums provide an additional $2.55 per hour
    • $2,500 sign on bonus
    • Up to $7,500 bonus based on verified experience
  • Comprehensive paid training
  • Relocation assistance of $2,500 for select bases 

PSA has maintenance facilities in Akron-Canton Airport (CAK), Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP), Norfolk International Airport (ORF), Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) and Dayton International Airport (DAY). Since 2014, the airline has more than doubled its size from 49 to 128 aircraft and is well on its way to operate 150 Bombardier regional jets. PSA recently announced that it would operate 15 new CRJ900 aircraft on behalf of American Airlines. In addition to the 54 CRJ900s PSA has taken delivery of straight from the Bombardier factory within the last several years, the airline will operate nearly 70 CRJ900s, or approximately half of the airline’s fleet. PSA is well on its way to operating one of the most modern and efficient fleets in the regional industry.
