PSA Airlines Offers Top-Of-Industry Compensation For Aircraft Mechanics

DAYTON, Ohio – PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is enhancing its compensation package for Airframe/Powerplant (A&P) mechanics, with top-of-industry rates for first-year pay up to $60,000. This compensation provides A&P mechanics with unparalleled benefits and supports PSA’s objective to offer the most valuable career path in the regional industry to attract and retain the best mechanics.

With these new changes, prospective A&P mechanics can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Industry-leading first-year pay up to $60,000
    • Base pay includes $25.24 per hour (includes third-shift premium)
  • $2,500 sign-on bonus
  • Experience bonus up to $15,000 for qualified mechanics
  • New tool box and tools for qualified A&P mechanics, valued at more than $5,000, to ensure mechanics have the resources to do their job when they begin their PSA career.
  • Comprehensive paid training

PSA has maintenance facilities in Akron-Canton Airport (CAK), Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP), Norfolk International Airport (ORF), Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), Pensacola International Airport (PNS) and Dayton International Airport (DAY). As a mechanic at PSA, team members will be part of a dedicated group of professionals that place safety and compliance above all else. New-hire mechanics will receive comprehensive paid training on the CRJ 700 and CRJ 900 aircraft.
