From Technician to Leader: Brandon Dodge’s Growth Journey at PSA
Brandon Dodge, a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Dayton, Ohio, began his career at PSA shortly after graduating high school. Starting as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Brandon quickly built a reputation as a dependable team member with a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning. His dedication to the role and willingness to take on new challenges helped him earn a promotion to Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician after just one year at PSA.
In his current role, Brandon is responsible for helping lead and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. As a Lead Technician, he helps plan and direct maintenance operations, supports and trains technicians on proper procedures, and works closely with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly. He also plays a key role in maintaining safe work environments, overseeing documentation and work records, coordinating with inspection teams, and supporting PSA’s Safety Management System. Brandon remains a hands-on technician who works alongside fellow mechanics to ensure every aircraft meets the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, Brandon is actively involved in PSA’s Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Flight Safety Committee. Through these programs, he helps strengthen PSA’s safety culture by identifying opportunities for improvement, encouraging open communication, and sharing his knowledge and expertise with teammates. His involvement demonstrates his commitment not only to maintaining aircraft, but also to continuously improving safety across the operation.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at PSA, Brandon pointed to the variety and opportunities for growth that come with the job.
“No two days are the same,” he shared. “The daily challenges and variety of projects have kept the job rewarding throughout my career. Along the way, I’ve taken every opportunity to expand my knowledge, develop new skills, and learn from experienced technicians and teammates. Every challenge has helped me become a better technician and teammate.”
