With this enhanced compensation, pilots can earn up to $187,500 in bonuses for their commitment to PSA and guaranteed flow to American. This unmatched compensation structure is the most valuable in the industry and is an important step in ensuring PSA attracts and retains the best talent in the industry.

With these enhancements, PSA is introducing an industry-leading Pilot Retention Bonus Program which allows pilots to earn up to $150,000, with payments made at Captain upgrade at PSA and at the time of flow to American. This retention program aims to keep pilots at PSA and eventually flow to American, ensuring a strong pilot pipeline moving forward. The Pilot Retention Bonus will also extend to all pilots currently with PSA.

Here are the bonuses new pilots can expect as part of the premier pilot hiring program in the industry:

  • Up to $187,500 in bonuses which includes:
    • o $150,000 Pilot Retention Bonus
      • The program rewards pilots for choosing PSA and flowing to American in the coming years.
        • $30,000 at Captain upgrade at PSA
      • $70,000 at the time of flow or direct hire at American
      • Up to an additional $50,000 paid at flow to American, earned over two years of eligible service
      • $15,000 High Experience Bonus
        • The program rewards new pilots for their qualified experience (paid after completion of training).
          • Earn $15,000 for at least 1,000 qualifying hours
        • Earn $10,000 for at least 750 qualifying hours
        • o $15,000 Sign-on Bonus ($10,000 at training completion, $5,000 at one-year anniversary)
        • $7,500 CRJ Type Rating Bonus (paid at training completion)

With these bonuses, newly hired pilots that are eligible as Captain can earn up to $152,000 in total compensation in their first year with PSA.
