Two new senior leaders to head PSA maintenance technical operations organization

Charlotte, N.C., FEB 2, 2026 – PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group and leading regional airline, announced two new senior leaders to lead their maintenance tech ops organization.

Ken Brumfield is PSA’s new Vice President, Technical Operations. Ken joined PSA on Jan. 2, 2026 from ST Engineering, a Singapore-based multinational technology company where he served in senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Quality. Prior to ST Engineering, Ken held maintenance-focused leadership roles at Allegiant for over eight years. Before Allegiant, Ken served Southwest Airlines for nearly 20 years in frontline maintenance roles and leadership positions of increasing responsibility.

Ken will provide leadership for all facets of our technical operations including line and heavy maintenance programs.

Matthew Key joined PSA on Jan. 12 and has been named Vice President of Technical Operations Strategy and Sourcing, a new leadership role at PSA.

Matt is an experienced aviation operations leader with more than a decade of expertise in maintenance planning, strategy, and production control. He spent 13 years at Allegiant, where he held several key leadership roles, including Director of Maintenance Planning and Strategy and Director of Aircraft Heavy Maintenance. His background also includes serving as Manager of Production Control, Manager of Predictive Operational Programs, and holding multiple analyst positions supporting maintenance reliability and operational performance.

In his role he will focus on long-range maintenance planning and will oversee the coordination of critical logistics, optimizing maintenance checks ensuring that parts and resources are positioned efficiently.

With PSA’s continued growth, specifically in the maintenance network, including the opening of our newest maintenance base in Knoxville this past summer, the experience these two leaders bring will be critical to ensuring we are operating at our highest level.
